Helmsley residents, businesses and organisations have come together to offer a fantastic programme to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. There will be entertainment for everyone, starting with a Family Fun Day at the Sports Field on Monday 4 June, and continuing on Tuesday 5 June in the Market Place and Wednesday 5 June at the Town Hall.

The whole square was available for activities ranging from children’s pavement art to a ‘cook-off’ between local chefs — and for everyone simply to enjoy themselves. That was followed on Wednesday 6 June by a Tea Party and Old-Time Singalong in the Town Hall for Over-75s. And throughout the extended Jubilee holiday, All Saints Church hosted a spectacular floral tribute to Her Majesty.
