Free transport to get vaccinations for Helmsley area residents over 80
Do you know people who may need help to get their Covid-19 vaccine at Pickering when Phase 2 is announced? This may be be the non vulnerable over 80s group and Ryedale Community Transport (RyeCat) will provide FREE transport, from homes in the Helmsley area to Pickering Surgery.
The vaccination programme began in Ryedale last week and RyeCat undertook 10 free journeys for patients from the Helmsley area. It was a huge success and all patients have booked their free return journey for the second half of the vaccination.
Please let anyone you know who may struggle to get to the surgery alone, or is afraid of using public transport during the pandemic, that they are able to book a FREE journey with Ryedale Community Transport. Tel: 01653 699059
RyeCat close for Christmas on Thursday lunchtime (24th) but their answer phone will be on over the Christmas and New Year period, open again on Monday 4th January 2021.
Due to the age group RyeCat is supporting it is quite a challenge to capture them using social media so please help get the word out the old fashioned way. It seems to be the key but note, at the moment, RyeCat only get 48 hours notice of the vaccinations being available.
