Town Council Elections
The Town Council Elections were held on the 2 May 2019. The next whole council election were due in May 2023. Any vacancies before then may be filled by by-election or co-option. Update 17th January 2023 - information from Ryedale District CouncilThe changes that will be brought about by the North Yorkshire local government reorganisation will potentially have an impact of the dates for the Parish Council Elections. A Structural Change Order, which will confirm the North Yorkshire Council changes, has also proposed moving the Parish Council elections forward to the same date as the new unitary Council. That still needs Parliamentary approval but if it goes through then the Parish Council elections will be held in 2022, in line with the new unitary authority elections.
Councillors' Registers of Interest
All councillors are required to complete a Register of Interests. These are available on Ryedale District Council's website as councillors submit an online form to RDC and, unless the clerk has been informed by the councillor of the submission of an updated version, will be the most up-to-date version.
